Tucker Zimmerman

In loving memory of Bryan Tucker Zimmerman (1946-2026)

Tucker Zimmerman was a singular voice in folk music. From his early nomadic years, drifting between the United States, Italy, and the UK, to eventually settling in Belgium, his artistry reflects a life rich with lived experience. An artist whose songwriting combined emotional honesty, poetic depth, and a timeless melodic sensibility. A songwriter deemed ‘too qualified for folk’ by the legendary David Bowie, whilst remaining unwavering in his commitment to a genre steeped in cultural significance. Across decades of work, his songs revealed a rare intimacy and wisdom, balancing vulnerability with quiet strength, and influencing generations of artists who followed. A career that touched generations of cultural icons from David Bowie, to present day music trailblazers such as Big Thief, Tucker’s catalog feels both deeply personal and universally resonant, making his music as relevant today as ever. We are honoured to represent his publishing and to continue championing a body of work that stands as a lasting testament to his artistry and spirit.
