Niall Galvin

Niall Galvin is a songwriter and composer working with some of the most exciting talent in the music industry as well as across visual media (Film, Trailers, TV and Adverts). He started his career in music with his genre bending solo project Only Real which he released via Virgin EMI in the UK and Harvest in the US.
Only Real’s innovative indie bedroom pop/rap sound initially blew up online but went on to achieved worldwide critical acclaim with thousands of fans attending his live shows and glowing reviews and editorial love from The Guardian, Vice, The Fader, and Complex to name a few.

He now writes with other artists too - penning songs in prestigious Spotify editorial playlists “Our Generation” and “ New Music Friday”. Niall worked directly with TikTok on their “Discover Music” new artists campaign helping develop talent.
Niall has now moved in to composition and is fast achieving similar levels of success with clients including : Marc Jacobs, BBC, Netflix and ESPN. Most recently he has composed the music for the trailer of Sundance and Tribeca film festival hit documentary “Invisible
Beauty” the inspiring story of fashion pioneer Bethann Hardison (exec produced by
Naomi Campbell).

Niall’s writing style boils down to a combination of great lyric/melody writing alongside an innately cool taste in production choices. Wobbly Indie guitars, combine with soaring soulful falsetto/choir gang vocals or his signature lower pitch London spoken sound. Held together with forward thinking electronic elements and analog outboard gear for a nostalgic touch.
